The family of Ghislaine Maxwell launched a website Friday that proclaims her “innocence” and tries to present “a more balanced viewpoint” of the accused madam, insisting she is “no monster.”
Realghislaine.com was set up in an effort to portray the socialite as a model citizen, innocent of all of these nasty accusations against her.
“We believe wholeheartedly in our beloved sister’s innocence and encourage visitors to this site to sign up for updates,” reads an excerpt on the homepage of the site, which is maintained by Maxwell’s siblings, family and friends.
“It is planned for other material to be added and readers can form a more balanced viewpoint.”
Included on the site is a video message from Maxwell’s brother, Ian, who decries the alleged poor conditions his sister faces at the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Ian Maxwell claims Ghislaine is losing sleep due to nightly interruptions from guards, who he says shine lights in her eyes for 15 minutes at a time.
Maxwell has been in lockup since she was arrested in 2020.
“It’s cruel and usual, it’s torture, it’s wrong,” he said of her alleged treatment behind bars.
Of course, everybody is considered innocent until proven guilty, however they are neglecting the fact there are nearly three million pages of evidence in the sex trafficking case of Ghislaine Maxwell. Mountains of evidence against the socialite, including brave victims who have risked their lives coming forward including a fourth alleged victim just added to Ghislaine Maxwell's charges. Before Monday Ms Maxwell had faced six charges: four relate to the years between 1994 and 1997, when prosecutors say she helped Epstein groom girls as young as 14. The other two are allegations of perjury in 2016. If convicted on the first six charges, which she denies, she would face up to 35 years in prison.
I'm sure the conditions in the Brooklyn jail are not the accommodations Ms. Maxwell is accustomed to. There would be no luxuries, not even any minor's to prey on. Such horrible conditions! Given the severity of accusations made, there should be no special treatment provided. Since her business associate Jeffrey Epstein "killed himself" awaiting trial, I am quite sure the detention center will not make the same mistake twice.
According to the New York Times, "federal prosecutors contended that Ms. Maxwell didn’t have it so bad. She is released from her cell for 13 hours a day. She has her own shower, her own phone and exclusive use of two computers — even her own TV."
Sounds like absolute torture. Given the alleged charges, and sexual crimes committed against minor children, I would say conditions may very well be too good.
Listed on Ghislaine's "About" webpage on the website, is information about her "project" TerraMar and video's of her speaking to the United Nations. I'm guessing they feel this information reinforces their belief in their sister's innocence, and upstanding character, however it actually reinforces the corruption she is being accused of. I'm shocked they didn't post their sister's time as a submarine operator?
The very fact they created this website at all, tells you how out of touch the family is with reality. This may have worked in the past, but the public knows how Ghislaine and Jeffrey Epstein escaped justice for Sex Trafficking for many years. The time has expired.
