As Day 7 commenced, another alleged victim in the Ghislaine Maxwell's sex-trafficking trial stated Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused her beginning when she was 14 years old. She testified that the pedophile financier stopped when she was 18 because that was "too old" for him. Again, Carolyn was attempting to achieve anonymity, and Maxwell's lawyer's used her real last name twice. Nothing was said, or done to stop this by either Judge Nathan, or the Prosecution.
Carolyn described years of abuse, having had an alcoholic mother, and a Grandfather who sexually molested her starting at age 4, she turned to drugs to cope.
In addition, it would seem they are having all kinds of fun in that courtroom at the expense of traumatized victims. One veteran courtroom sketch artist says Ghislaine Maxwell has been her 'sketching buddy' during the trial. An article is reporting on the sketching artist who's sketch of Maxwell went viral on Twitter after users noticed that the British socialite had simultaneously drawn the courtroom artist.
"She sketched me a few times in a row. Then she started nodding at me and waving at me. She even spoke to me once. It's really great for me. I'm not going to wreck it. I'm going to keep it going. I need to see her face," Rosenberg told Intelligencer. "It's like a photographer — they wait for that moment and say someone's name and they turn to them."
A human sex trafficker is a sketching buddy. Well, I suppose that keeps the heat off Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Leon Black and Les Wexner. Given all of this, it's pretty safe to say Ghislaine feels pretty confident she will be found not guilty.
In the meantime, more heartbreaking testimony emerged about victim Carolyn and her experience with Epstein and Maxwell.
"He asked me if I had any younger friends and I said no," the woman said. "And that's when I realized I was too old."
If these girls became "too old" at the age of 18 for Epstein, I believe this is proof that Maxwell was definitely NOT Epstein's girlfriend-at any time. She was his handler in this whole blackmail, honeypot operation.
She testified she first met Epstein in 2002, several years after her family moved from New York City to Palm Beach, Florida. Carolyn said that Epstein ultimately engaged in sexual activity with her more than 100 times, starting when she was 14.
First introduced to Epstein by Virginia Roberts, who told Carolyn Epstein would give her $300 in exchange for a massage at his Palm Beach home. Roberts, who later changed her name to Virginia Giuffre, explained on the drive to the mansion that Carolyn would take her clothes off but would be permitted to leave on her undergarments.
When they entered the home, Carolyn testified, she met Maxwell for the first time. Maxwell brought the girls upstairs to the massive bathroom adjacent to Epstein's bedroom, where Carloyn said that Giuffre set up a massage table. She and Giuffre massaged him for 45 minutes, she recalled, before Epstein flipped himself over and had sex with Giuffre.
When it was over, there was $300 on the table for Carolyn to take, she said, as well as cash for Giuffre.
Maxwell arranged the appointments over the phone at first, Carolyn said, until another Epstein associate, Sarah Kellen, took over scheduling. Kellen also took naked photographs of her, Carolyn testified.
She recalled that every appointment was the same: Carolyn massaged Epstein for 45 minutes while naked, engaged in sexual activity, and then took between $300 and $400 in cash that was left for her.
"I was young, and $300 was a lot of money," she explained when Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey asked her why she continued to go to Epstein's home.
Carolyn alleged that Maxwell saw her naked on several occasions, and touched her private areas once. She also recounted two occasions where Epstein pressed a button on a phone during a sexualized massage. On each occasion, a different young woman came into the room and joined them for sex.
When she was 16 years old, Carolyn said she had a child with another man. She returned to Epstein for sexualized massages after that, she said, reasoning that she needed the money to support her baby. The defense continued to try to discredit her further, painting her as a drug addict hungry for money.
In addition to more cross-examination from the defense shaming the witness, in a stunning move, the Prosecution said they will close in 2 weeks. The trial was estimated to take 4-6 weeks, and they are on their 3rd of 4 witnesses to testify. What has happened? This is an outrage...there is a mountain of evidence that can be presented to the jury-more then 6 weeks worth. Maxwell may just get a slap on the wrist which would be an absolute miscarriage of Justice!
The one piece of information that came out of today's testimony that NOBODY is talking about? "Carolyn" testified today she saw a photograph of Ghislaine Maxwell nude and pregnant. It's been widely reported that Ghislaine Maxwell has no children of her own. What became of Maxwell's baby?
This is the FIRST I have heard of Maxwell being pregnant. Did she have the baby, give it away? Miscarriage, or did she donate it to "science?" There are so many questions....so many. It's no wonder the defense cut Carolyn off and stated, "Nothing further."
What will Day 8 bring? Once thing is for certain, there is a lot of information that has not been shared about this whole arrangement. Maxwell is too old for Epstein, according to the standards set...and yet there is a photo of her nude and pregnant. So many secrets yet to be discovered....
